Slitting

With 2 wide slitting lines on site, SPM can offer slitting from 0.40 mm up to 4.00 mm thick in an array of product types and grades.

Our flagship Georg slitting line produces a flawless build up and profile on our slit coil. Slitting up to 1900 mm O/D's from 0.40 mm to 2.5 mm we boast some of the best presented slit coil in the industry. Our double looping unit ensures we can run light gauge material to large O/D's making it ideal for customer who need large O/D's to hit productivity rates on their lines. Our Durmech line is targeted more above 1.00 mm and is used for customers who are restricted on maximum coil weights or Outside Diameters.

With multiple shifts, we can react quickly to your changing needs and will continue to supply your products in full and on time. Our 50,000 square foot warehouse means we can carry a broad range of stock on site in Burntwood, making our reaction times very quick if required. Based in Burntwood, we have good access routes to the West Midlands and The South via the M6 toll road and we regularly supply steel to all parts of the UK and Ireland via established transport partners.
